Continental said Tuesday that its all-weather tire AllSeasonContact 2 and winter tire WinterContact TS 870 P each claimed first place in separate tire tests conducted by German automotive publications.

The AllSeasonContact 2 topped the rankings in tests run by German automotive magazines Auto Motor/Sport and Auto Straßenverkehr in the 195/55 R16 91V XL size.

Evaluators praised the tire's stable handling on snow and its strong performance on dry roads, particularly on wet surfaces. High energy efficiency from low rolling resistance was also cited as a key strength. Continental said the results recognized the tire's balanced performance across a range of road conditions.

The WinterContact TS 870 P took first place in the winter tire test featured in the October 2026 issue of Sport Auto, in the 205/45 R17 size. Evaluators highlighted its excellent grip and balanced handling on snow, as well as strong traction and stable handling on wet roads. Stable handling on dry surfaces, low cabin noise and low rolling resistance also drew favorable marks.

The WinterContact TS 870 P features sipes and tread patterns designed to improve grip and steering on snow, and uses a "CoolChili" EMC to enhance braking performance on wet roads. Both products are sold in South Korea as replacement tires.

"As the performance demands on tires vary by season and road conditions, choosing the right tire for your vehicle and driving environment is essential," said Niko Kyriazopoulos, head of replacement tires at Continental Tire Korea. "With both products performing well in these tests, we will continue working to help drivers in Korea select tires suited to winter road conditions and prepare for safe driving."
