Kumho Tire announced Tuesday that it will hold free tire inspections and a safe-driving campaign targeting large trucks and buses at major highway rest stops nationwide Thursday and Friday.

The campaign will run at four locations: Songsan Grape rest stop (toward Siheung), Yeoju rest stop (toward Gangneung), Sintanjin rest stop (toward Seoul) and Chilgok rest stop (toward Seoul).

Drivers stopping at the rest stops can have their tires' exterior condition and tread wear checked free of charge by Kumho Tire specialists. Customers who request it will also receive air pressure and wheel balance checks, and all visitors will receive a small commemorative gift.

Kumho Tire will also promote its truck and bus radial tire lineup, including the KXA31, KXA17, KXD10 and KXS10 models, with one-on-one consultations to explain each product's features and strengths. Visitors will receive education on common tire accident types and safety precautions, and the company will conduct outreach activities aimed at preventing accidents and fires involving large commercial vehicles.

"For trucks and buses that cover long distances, it is important to regularly check and maintain tire condition," said Choi Jun-seong, head of Kumho Tire's quality service team. "Going forward, we will continue to inform drivers of proper tire management through various safety inspection and accident prevention activities, and take the lead in ensuring road safety."

Kumho Tire runs free inspection campaigns for both truck and bus tires and passenger car tires every year as part of its ongoing efforts to raise awareness of tire safety.

Meanwhile, Kumho Tire held an on-site event Sunday at Jeonju World Cup Stadium for Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors fans and spectators, offering hands-on activities and prize giveaways. As an official sponsor of Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, the company set up a Kumho Tire event zone inside the stadium featuring three participatory missions: a Match & Drive quiz mission, a Shoot & Bingo mission and a Kick & Control mission.
