Daegu Haany University's Department of Social Welfare held a job training session titled "Self-Care for a Healthy Work Life" for workers at child welfare centers in North Gyeongsang Province, the university announced Monday.

The training was part of a job education program aimed at strengthening "3S competencies," organized by the university's anchor project team in partnership with the North Gyeongsang Province support unit for child welfare centers.

The session was structured as a participatory program in which attendees assessed their own energy levels and degree of burnout, explored sources of stress and recovery, and identified practical self-management strategies for both work and daily life.

Seo Hye-jeon, the professor who designed the program, said workers at child welfare centers may not have enough opportunities to reflect on their own mental state and level of burnout when so focused on caring for children. "I hope this training gives them a chance to find their own ways to recover and stay healthy in the social welfare field," she said.
