'Money in the School' series to run three sessions from Nov. 14
Two-track format: investment and psychology for parents, basic economics for children
YouTube finance channel expands offline at JCC Jaeneung Culture Center
Yujin ENT, an affiliate of Yujin Group, is partnering with Jaeneung Education to enter the family-oriented financial education market, bringing its YouTube-based economics content expertise into an offline classroom setting with tailored programs for both parents and children.
Yujin ENT announced Monday that it will co-host an economics lecture series called "Money in the School" with Jaeneung Education starting Nov. 14, through its financial education YouTube channel "Money in the Trap."
The program will run on a two-track model, with parents and children attending separate sessions simultaneously. Parents will receive lectures aimed at deepening their understanding of investment principles and psychology, while children will take part in lessons designed to build foundational economic concepts and healthy attitudes toward spending and investing.
The parent-track sessions will feature John Lee, head of John Lee's School of the Rich, and Kim Kyung-il, a psychology professor at Ajou University. Both speakers will share knowledge and experience in economics and investing, and a question-and-answer segment based on pre-submitted questions will also be held.
The children's sessions will be led by active elementary school teachers. Ok Hyo-jin of Gwangan Elementary School in Busan, author of "Kids Who Pay Taxes," and Kim Seon of Dunjeon Elementary School in Gyeonggi Province, who wrote "One Page of Elementary Economics News a Day" and "The Kid Who Buys In-Game Items vs. the Kid Who Buys Samsung Shares," will participate.
The lectures will be held across three sessions — Nov. 14, Nov. 21 and Dec. 19 — at JCC Jaeneung Culture Center in Hyehwa-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, a cultural venue designed by world-renowned architect Tadao Ando.
"Money in the Trap," operated by Yujin ENT, is a YouTube channel covering major issues in economics, finance, international affairs and industry through expert interviews and commentary. Its flagship content includes a series called "Let's Talk," and the channel has approximately 110,000 subscribers. According to Tubemon, a YouTube analytics site, its cumulative view count has surpassed 61 million.
"We hope this lecture series will be a meaningful opportunity for parents and children to learn about economics together and connect with each other," a Yujin ENT official said. "We plan to continue leveraging the content capabilities of Money in the Trap to offer a wide range of financial education programs spanning both online and offline formats."
