TYM joins AgriLink 2026 in Philippines with local partner
Donates engine, transmission training equipment to support technician development
Company eyes expanded agricultural mechanization cooperation across Asia-Pacific
South Korean agricultural machinery maker TYM is entering the Philippine market with a 100-horsepower mid-to-large tractor while launching a program to train local service technicians. The company's strategy pairs equipment supply with maintenance workforce education to build a stronger foothold in the Philippines.
TYM announced Monday that it participated in AgriLink 2026, an agricultural exhibition held at the World Trade Center Manila from Thursday to Saturday, alongside its local official partner Fit Korea.
At the exhibition, TYM unveiled its 6100R, a 100-horsepower mid-to-large tractor, for the Philippine market. The model is designed for high-value crop cultivation and aims to improve agricultural productivity in the country.
TYM also presented an education program aimed at training local agricultural machinery technicians. The company produced and displayed cross-sectional training equipment that allows users to examine the internal structures of engines and transmissions. The equipment will be donated free of charge to Philippine educational institutions after the exhibition closes.
Alongside the training equipment, TYM will provide specialized technical education content and an engineer training program. In February, the company invited Philippine engineers to South Korea for hands-on instruction covering product engineering, maintenance and service.
TYM plans to present its Philippine cooperation case at the Asia-Pacific Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization conference, organized by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, in Manila in November. The company intends to use the occasion to expand agricultural mechanization partnerships with other Asia-Pacific countries.
"We aim to be a long-term partner that contributes to building a sustainable agricultural mechanization ecosystem in the Philippines through active technical education and talent development support," said Kim Ho-gyeom, head of TYM's global business division.
