Samsung Fire announced Monday the launch of THE FIT, a new health insurance product designed to let customers tailor coverage and services to their health condition and stage of life.

The product expands on the MyFit health insurance plan introduced in 2024. While MyFit was built to recommend coverage matched to each customer's individual risk profile, THE FIT broadens that concept to encompass overall coverage, features and services.

The new product strengthens its integrated treatment cost coverage framework, enabling protection aligned with the nature of a disease and the course of treatment. Coverage that had been concentrated on cancer and circulatory conditions now extends to liver, lung and kidney diseases. The product covers the full arc of actual treatment — from initial testing and drug therapy through hospitalization and surgery to recovery.

THE FIT is structured around four modules — health, long-term care, driving and residential — designed to guard against risks that emerge as customers age and their living circumstances change. The design reflects the reality that the risks customers need to prepare for vary not only by health condition but also by life stage and living environment. Coverage extends beyond dementia and long-term care to include risks arising from driving and everyday home life.

Several mechanisms ease the premium burden at enrollment. Customers can choose an enrollment type suited to their health status. When family members enroll together, every member receives a 5% premium discount. The product also includes a structure under which premiums fall for customers who stay healthy after joining: those with no hospitalization or surgery history and no diagnosis of a serious condition such as cancer or stroke can apply each year to convert to a no-claim contract and receive a premium discount. Conversions are available up to 10 times.

After enrollment, the product provides situation-specific services spanning health management, treatment and recovery. Three services support everyday health management and chronic disease prevention: Gravity, which supports gym use; SugarFit, which helps with blood sugar management; and LightFit, which supports weight management. Customers may choose one of the three.

For customers who develop serious conditions such as cancer, brain or heart disease, services are available to assist with treatment and return to daily life. Hospital accompaniment and home care are among the key offerings. Samsung Fire also introduced a new service voucher, allowing customers to select from 10 lifestyle-oriented services including hospital escort, treatment accommodation support and housekeeping assistance.

"THE FIT did not start from the idea of fitting customers to an insurance product — it started from the question of how to fit insurance to each customer's health and life," a Samsung Fire official said. "We will continue to deliver better insurance value in step with our customers' changing needs."
