The 15th Daegu International Robot Industry Exhibition, known as ROBEX 2026, will run for four days from Wednesday to Saturday at EXCO in Daegu.
The exhibition, which showcases cutting-edge technology from leading domestic robot companies alongside global industry trends, will be held in conjunction with the Future Innovation Technology Expo, or FIX 2026, the Daegu city government said Monday.
The event will highlight Daegu's vision of becoming South Korea's AI and advanced robotics capital — a goal the city has been pursuing since its designation as a national strategic industry cluster for humanoid robots — as well as the competitiveness of the region's robotics sector.
This year's exhibition will feature 65 companies across 220 booths, presenting a wide range of technologies including industrial and collaborative robots, humanoid robots, autonomous mobile robots, service robots, core components and automation solutions.
HD Hyundai Robotics, one of the key participants, will showcase a physical AI-based intelligent dual-arm robot, its next-generation collaborative robot HDC series, and welding and force-control solutions.
Doosan Robotics will demonstrate its intelligent automation technology through Scan & Go — which won the Best of Innovation Award in the AI category at CES 2026 — along with its palletizing solution.
Airobot, a humanoid robot specialist, will exhibit ALICE 5, which was named Best Custom Humanoid at the 2026 RoboCup.
Other domestic companies will present a variety of products including autonomous forklifts, robotic hands and exploration robots, while overseas firms — among them Japan's Epson and Denmark's Universal Robots and MiR — will also introduce their robot technologies.
The Korea Institute for Robot Industry Advancement, along with research institutes and universities, will operate joint exhibition and business support booths, presenting technology development achievements and education and training equipment.
The Korea Robot Refurbishment Center will also take part, introducing maintenance, remanufacturing and automation technologies for industrial robots.
The Daegu International Robot Industry Exhibition has been held simultaneously with FIX since 2024, expanding convergence and technology exchange across advanced industries including robotics, future mobility and AI and information and communications technology.
This year's event is expected to again serve as an industry platform that creates opportunities for collaboration and commercialization between companies and research institutions.
Daegu city plans to link the exhibition to the construction of a national robot test field and to industry-academia-research cooperation and talent development initiatives, with the aim of strengthening the local robotics industry and boosting global competitiveness by leveraging the region's manufacturing base.
"This exhibition is a stage that showcases the full capabilities of the robotics industry Daegu is nurturing," Daegu Mayor Choo Kyung-ho said. "We will actively support the leap forward of the local robotics industry by connecting advanced technology with the demands of industry and expanding opportunities for cooperation and commercialization."
