Gwanak-gu will host the 2026 Gwanak Family Culture Festival at Eutteum Park on Gwanaksan this Saturday, offering families a chance to create special autumn memories together.

Co-organized by the district office and the Gwanak-gu Family Center, the festival is designed to bring together family members of all ages — from infants and toddlers to children, teenagers, youth, middle-aged adults and seniors — through a wide range of cultural and hands-on programs aimed at fostering intergenerational communication and family bonds.

The festival will open with a lively celebratory performance, followed by a family quiz show, a magic show, face painting and other programs for all ages.

Experience booths tailored to different life stages will be set up throughout the venue, giving families opportunities to make and try things together.

Key programs include a custom keycap clicker-making workshop, a family seed kit activity where families grow plants together, an AI life-photo creation session, and a universal toy-making workshop that celebrates play across cultures and borders.

Additional activities — including family keyring making, an emotion-scent sachet workshop and a family pride tree — are planned to strengthen communication and bonds among family members, with the event welcoming everyone from single-person households to seniors.

The festival runs from noon to 4 p.m. and is open to all Gwanak-gu residents and those who live or work in the district. For more information, contact the Gwanak-gu Gender Equality and Family Division or the Gwanak-gu Family Center.

"I hope this festival will be a warm occasion where families laugh and enjoy themselves together and feel how precious they are to one another," Gwanak-gu District Mayor Park Jun-hee said. "We will continue building Gwanak into a warm, family-friendly city where diverse families and generations can come together and connect."
