A video showing a group of women brawling inside a US concert venue during a performance by K-pop girl group aespa has gone viral online.

A 13-second clip, said to have been filmed at a Seattle arena where aespa performed Oct. 9, spread across Reddit and social media on Thursday (local time).

The footage shows women in what appears to be a venue corridor grabbing each other by the hair and throwing punches. Some can be seen wrestling on the floor and kicking one another.

Bystanders watched from a distance, visibly startled, as the altercation unfolded around them.

The video drew widespread reaction online. "What on earth happened at the concert?" one user wrote. Others called the behavior embarrassing and questioned whether the fight was worth it.

One user who claimed to have witnessed the incident said it appeared to be a clash between fandoms. "It seemed like fans from different fandoms were fighting each other — there were reports at the time that different fan groups were clashing," the user wrote.

However, it has not been confirmed whether the women in the video were actually aespa fans or what triggered the altercation.

Aespa performed at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle on Oct. 9 as part of their fourth world tour, "SYNK: COMPLæXITY."

Having wrapped up their North American dates, aespa is scheduled to continue the tour in Europe starting in January.
