Ramita Korea, an international health tourism platform, said Saturday it has established a two-way tourism development framework — bringing foreign visitors, including Chinese nationals, to Korea for beauty and wellness travel, while guiding Korean travelers to golf, wellness and leisure destinations centered on China's Hainan province.

The company said it has expanded its business both in scale and quality through healing retreats, leisure activities, hot spring experiences, healthy dining and networking programs.

While many travel agencies in Korea focus exclusively on either outbound trips to China or inbound Chinese visitors, Ramita Korea appears to hold a unique position as the only operator running both inbound and outbound health tourism between the two countries.

The company was founded by CEO Han Dan, a former consultation director at a dermatology clinic, who launched the business in step with the tourism market's recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic. Ramita Korea said it has built a specialized, systematized and globalized premium travel service platform that goes well beyond simple travel brokerage.

Its core business currently centers on inbound beauty and health tourism for Chinese and other foreign visitors, supporting the growth of Korea's tourism industry. Going forward, the company plans to expand its outbound operations — offering Korean travelers more global health and golf travel options focused on Hainan — with the goal of balancing inbound and outbound business.

On the inbound side, Ramita Korea specializes in consultation, booking and comprehensive on-the-ground services for medical beauty tourists from around the world, with a particular focus on Chinese visitors seeking treatment at licensed Korean hospitals.

The company has formal partnerships with more than 750 licensed medical beauty hospitals across Korea, including Forb in Gangnam, Seoul, and operates its own global booking platform.

The platform provides real-time, transparent information — including hospital locations, treatment categories, specialist profiles and actual procedure prices — and supports 16 languages, allowing tourists worldwide to browse and book without language barriers.

The company also maintains consultation and booking staff on call 16 hours a day, offering fast and accurate one-on-one personalized service.

Ramita Korea said it has successfully served more than 5,000 Chinese medical beauty tourists to date, building high customer satisfaction and repeat-visit rates through accurate information, transparent pricing and safe on-site management.

On the outbound side, Ramita Korea's departure business — designed to offer Korean travelers more health and leisure options — currently specializes in premium golf tours and travel services focused on Hainan.

Hainan is China's only tropical island region, offering a warm year-round climate and pristine natural environment that make it Asia's premier golf tourism destination, with courses playable in every season.

The island is home to more than 20 licensed golf clubs and high-quality courses spanning a variety of styles, including seaside layouts, volcanic rock-themed courses and tropical garden courses.

With an average annual temperature of 24.3 degrees Celsius — a sharp contrast to Korea's cold winters — Hainan offers golf enthusiasts an ideal environment for winter golf tours.

Ramita Korea said it provides an all-in-one service covering bookings at premium Hainan golf courses, dedicated round scheduling, resort accommodation and sightseeing tours, delivering a comfortable, high-end golf and wellness travel experience.

For tourists who want to experience activities beyond golf while in Hainan, Ramita Korea also provides consulting and local operator connections covering a range of options: healing and wellness experiences at the Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone in Qionghai, along with Boao's romantic beachfront featuring sea stories and decommissioned vessels; surfing and cultural experiences in Wanning; hiking via moving walkway and hot spring bathing at Baoting's Qixianling (Seven Fairy Mountain), a national park and intangible cultural heritage site, plus folk tourism centered on the Miao and Li ethnic groups with their deep ties to Korea; marine activities at Lingshui's Fenjie Island; and sightseeing and leisure travel in Sanya, Hainan's second-largest city.

CEO Han Dan said the company is "leading high-end tourism exchanges between the two countries, drawing on the expertise of Korea's medical beauty industry and the premium tourism resources of Hainan." She added that the company aims "to continue providing trustworthy and differentiated global tourism services — grounded in specialized knowledge and hands-on experience in Korea's medical beauty sector, as well as broad information and firsthand experience of Hainan travel — and to grow into Asia's top specialized tourism company in health, wellness, golf and activities."

Han, who is originally from Jilin province in China's northeastern region and has lived in Korea for 16 years, said she loves hallyu, K-culture and K-beauty and has been sharing the diverse appeal of Korea with Chinese and other global customers. "At the same time, I am passing along health travel information about China that many Koreans are not yet familiar with," she added.
