A woman fined for repeatedly posting malicious content targeting actor Han Ji-min has been identified as the same person who stalked Choi Jung-hoon, the frontman of the band Jannabi.

BH Entertainment, Han's agency, confirmed Saturday that "the person who left malicious comments targeting Han Ji-min and the person who stalked Choi Jung-hoon are indeed the same individual."

On Friday, Judge Lee Ye-rim of the Seoul Central District Court's Criminal Division 27 sentenced the woman, identified only as A, to a fine of 6 million won ($4,450) on charges of intimidation and defamation against Han.

A is accused of posting 19 malicious messages on her social media accounts between September and October 2024, including statements such as "I will sabotage any film Han Ji-min appears in" and "Shut your mouth." The court found her guilty, ruling that spreading false information that damages another person's reputation or image can constitute intimidation.

A also posted abusive comments, death threats and demands for private meetings on Choi's blog hundreds of times. She was also sued for stalking after visiting the area near his agency's building.

In March, a court sentenced A to a fine of 5 million won on charges including violations of the Act on Punishment of Stalking Crimes and the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes. That ruling has been finalized.

Meanwhile, Han acknowledged her relationship with Choi — who is 10 years her junior — in August 2024, and the two have been publicly dating since.
