LG Electronics' wireless wallpaper TV, the LG Signature OLED W, has been named one of Time magazine's best inventions of 2026 in the home appliances category.

LG Electronics said Friday that Time highlighted the TV's ability to overcome the design and installation limitations of earlier wallpaper TVs, particularly praising its elimination of the tangle of cables around the screen.

Conventional wallpaper TVs required hardware components to be placed in a separate external unit to achieve an ultra-slim profile.

LG Electronics addressed this by integrating key hardware into a "Zero Connect Box" that can be installed up to 10 meters away from the screen.

Users can enjoy high-definition content and gaming without any cable connections between the TV and external devices. The Zero Connect Box is also 35 percent smaller than those used in previous wireless TV models, allowing it to blend more seamlessly into the installation space.

Measuring under 9mm thick and featuring built-in speakers, the LG Signature OLED W applies ultra-slim technology to every component — from the panel to the power board, main board and speakers — enabling it to sit flush against a wall. The TV also incorporates a wireless transmission technology, a world first, capable of delivering 4K video at 165Hz alongside audio with no loss or latency.
