CEOs, chief safety officers among attendees at Q3 executive safety session
Frontline worker participation highlights best-practice sharing, serious accident prevention training
Sampyo Group has moved to strengthen safety management capabilities across its affiliates, bringing together more than 80 executives — including chief executive officers and chief safety officers — to share workplace safety culture improvements and discuss ways to prevent serious industrial accidents.
The conglomerate held its "2026 Third-Quarter Executive Safety Session" at the Bavien2 education center in Seoul on Saturday, it announced Friday. CEOs, chief safety officers and other senior executives from all affiliates attended.
The session was organized to assess safety culture initiatives across affiliates and spread successful practices to other worksites. Participants shared key outcomes and areas for improvement, focusing on safety activities in which frontline workers took direct part, and awards were presented for outstanding cases.
Sampyo Group plans to translate the knowledge and practical skills gained at the session into concrete safety management improvements at actual worksites. It will continuously monitor the effectiveness of the training and its on-site application, and will compile exemplary safety culture cases into a reference guide to be distributed across all affiliates.
"Safety can only take root as an organizational culture when every member recognizes and practices it as the top priority in daily life — going beyond systems and education," a Sampyo Group official said. "We will build a safety culture in which all members naturally follow safety rules, grounded in workplace-centered safety management and ongoing communication."
