Companion programs to run across Oido throughout the day
Siheung will host the 2nd Siheung Oido Red Lighthouse Fireworks and Drone Show at Oido Port starting at 6 p.m. on Oct. 24.
The event is set against the backdrop of Oido's iconic red lighthouse and coastal scenery, combining light, music, fireworks and drone choreography to give residents and tourists a memorable autumn evening.
The program opens with a pre-show busking performance, "Along the Waterway," followed by an official opening ceremony and the main attraction — the fireworks and drone show. Drones and fireworks will fill the night sky to showcase Oido's charms from multiple angles.
A range of companion programs will also run across Oido throughout the day.
The Oido Tidal Flat Experience Village will offer mudflat ecology activities, while the Siheung Oido Museum will host a traveling K-Museum exhibition with related programs. Oido Prehistoric Site Park will hold "Oido Heritage Experience Day," featuring a variety of history and culture activities, and Okter Elementary School will be the venue for "Oido Salmak Eoulim Hanmadang," a community gathering open to both residents and tourists.
"I expect the fireworks and drone show set against the night sea of Oido to move both residents and tourists in a special way," Siheung Mayor Lim Byeong-taek said. "I hope everyone will create lasting autumn memories in Oido — from the daytime experience events to the fireworks and drones lighting up the night sky."
