KT Corp holds '2026 AID-X Day,' sharing achievements across business, technology and operations
Event aims to accelerate shift to 'AX platform company' through field-verified experience
KT Corp put its AI transformation capabilities on full display Wednesday and Thursday, showcasing everything from physical AI to a token factory as part of its push to become an "AX platform company."
The company held its "2026 AID-X (AI-Driven Everything) Day" at its Pangyo headquarters over two days, Wednesday through Thursday, to share AI transformation innovations and experiences across the group.
The AID-X Day event was designed to bring together existing AI transformation case studies and research and development achievements, enabling broader sharing of experiences and technologies across different parts of the organization.
The event featured exhibitions and presentations covering AI transformation cases and R&D results across four areas — business, innovation, work and technology — along with a hackathon focused on developing AI services.
In the business segment, exhibits highlighted how AI is changing data utilization, customer experience and corporate sales. KT Corp's data analytics platform MAGMA BI/DW allows employees to ask questions in natural language, with AI then searching and analyzing the relevant data and generating insights and dashboards. The system replaces a workflow that previously required pulling and processing data from multiple systems with what the company calls an "ask AI to analyze" approach.
Also on display was technology that uses AI to analyze app reviews from KT Corp's MyKT and KT Membership apps, as well as customer service logs, to identify recurring improvement requests. The system cut analysis work that previously took about eight hours to under 10 minutes.
The innovation segment demonstrated AI expanding into industrial settings such as manufacturing, logistics and mobility. A humanoid physical AI system introduced a "robot skill flywheel" technology that accumulates task experience and data from robots and connects cloud, edge and on-device environments to learn and verify new tasks. KT Corp is working to apply this in manufacturing and logistics settings in conjunction with its robot-as-a-service platform, KT RaaS Suite.
The work segment showcased cases where AI has been integrated into actual business processes to change how employees and developers work. AX Works, a company-wide AI agent management platform, lets staff build and share AI agents tailored to their own work needs.
The technology segment unveiled network and security innovations, including an AI security diagnostic platform that uses AI agents to detect and analyze vulnerabilities in web services, a customer protection technology that identifies abnormal patterns such as unauthorized text messages and micropayments, and advances in 6G, quantum security and AI operator capabilities.
A hackathon was also held during the event, in which KT Corp employees used AI to solve real problems arising in their day-to-day work. The company plans to accelerate its transition to an "AX platform company" by connecting internally verified AI transformation experiences to customer service and new business value.
"The key competitive edge of AI transformation lies not just in individual AI use, but in accumulating and spreading field-verified experience as organizational capability," said Ok Kyung-hwa, KT Corp's chief information officer.
