Actor Ha Jung-woo (born Kim Sung-hoon, 47) and actor Cha Jung-won (born Cha Mi-young, 36) are set to marry in December, according to reports.
The two plan to hold their wedding ceremony on Dec. 13 at a hotel in Seoul, entertainment industry sources said Wednesday.
The couple recently shared the specific details of the ceremony with close acquaintances and extended invitations.
Ha and Cha first met in 2020 as senior and junior colleagues in the acting world before developing a romantic relationship. After six years of quietly dating, rumors of their romance surfaced earlier this year, and the two quickly acknowledged they were in a relationship with marriage in mind.
Their marital home is expected to be Upper House Namsan, where Ha currently resides. He purchased the luxury villa on Sowol-ro in Seoul's Namsan area in September 2022 — while the couple was already dating — and moved in last August.
Ha made his debut in the 2003 film "Madeleine" and gained wider recognition through a supporting role in the drama series "Lovers in Prague." He went on to become a major star through films including "The Chaser," "National Team," "Nameless Gangster: Rules of the Time," "Tunnel" and "Assassination." He has also directed films including "Fasten Your Seatbelt," "Heo Sam-gwan," "The Lobby" and "Upstairs Neighbors," and has held multiple art exhibitions featuring his own work.
Cha made her debut in the 2012 film "Horror Stories" and has appeared in the drama series "Special Labor Inspector," "Lawless Lawyer" and "Player 2: Masterminds."
