Lotte World Adventure has unveiled a lineup of horror-themed food, beverages and merchandise tied to the world of manga artist Junji Ito, as the park looks to draw in fall visitors through a high-profile subculture IP collaboration.

The offerings are part of the park's fall season festival, "Invitation to a Strange World," which incorporates the universe of the Junji Ito Collection. The park said its goal is to give visitors an immersive experience that goes beyond simply watching — one they can eat and interact with.

The standout beverage this season is "Tomie's Fission Ade," inspired by Tomie, the endlessly regenerating character from Ito's work. Guests squeeze syrup from a syringe-shaped container directly into the drink, adding a hands-on element that has drawn strong reactions for its distinctive look and interactive format.

The "Soichi Sundae" pairs ice cream and chocolate syrup with a nail-shaped chocolate piece on top — a nod to the mischievous character Soichi, who is often depicted with a nail clenched between his teeth. A limited-edition Dubai Chewy Cookie set featuring key visuals drawn by Ito himself is also on sale, with characters etched onto each individual cookie to enhance their collectible appeal.

Collaboration merchandise built around popular characters from the series is also available. A gacha-style item — the Junji Ito Collection Random Sound Keycap Keyring — comes in four versions featuring Tomie, Soichi, the Handsome Man at the Crossroads and Oshigiri. Each keycap plays a sound effect when pressed, adding an audio dimension to the collectible.

Additional Tomie-themed products cater to the character's dedicated domestic fan base. Alongside a Tomie doll keyring, the park is selling a Tomie charm school bag — a black bag adorned with a Tomie doll charm. The bag is designed to complement the "school uniform look," a popular visitor styling trend at Lotte World, while remaining practical enough for everyday use.

Meanwhile, throughout the "Invitation to a Strange World" festival, Lotte World Adventure is running a range of Junji Ito Collection experiences at Magic Island. An immersive photo zone capturing the eerie atmosphere of Ito's work has been set up on the third floor of Magic Castle, while a collage-format photo zone called "Junji Ito Photo Street" operates behind the castle.
