A video showing a woman physically blocking a parking space at a Han River floodplain lot in Jamwon-dong, Seoul — and hurling expletives at a driver who confronted her — has gone viral online.

The clip, titled "Jamwon-dong floodplain parking villain," began spreading across social media Monday, drawing widespread outrage.

According to the person who posted the video, identified only as A, he was attempting to pull into an empty spot at the Jamwon-dong floodplain parking lot when a woman stepped in front of his vehicle to block it. When A told her that vehicles have the right of way and asked her to move, a man who appeared to be her husband emerged and insisted they had been waiting long enough to claim the spot.

The couple also made the puzzling claim that a parking attendant had directed them to hold the space.

Deciding that reasoning with them was futile, A began recording the situation on his phone. The woman then walked up to him and unleashed a string of expletives.

As the confrontation escalated, drivers from nearby vehicles got out and called out the woman's behavior, but she refused to budge.

Attendants who arrived at the scene later said they had never instructed the woman to reserve a spot that way and appeared visibly flustered. However, rather than intervening to stop her, the attendants reportedly consoled A by telling him to consider it an unlucky break and move on.
