Winning entries will be used in a 2026 calendar, an exhibition and bicycle safety education materials

The Ministry of Interior and Safety announced Monday that "Cherry Blossom Road," a photograph by Choi Jun-ho, and "Today Is Cycling Day!," a video by Lee Jeong-seop, have been named grand-prize winners in their respective categories at the 2026 Bicycle Photo and Video Contest.

Now in its 15th year, the contest was held under the theme "In an era of high energy prices, save energy and stay healthy with cycling — at the same time!"

A total of 581 entries were submitted between June 9 and July 28, and 15 works were selected as winners after judging — eight in the photo category and seven in the video category.

"Cherry Blossom Road" was praised for naturally incorporating nighttime cycling safety rules, while "Today Is Cycling Day!" was recognized for conveying bicycle safety guidelines through everyday storytelling.

All winners will receive a citation from the Minister of Interior and Safety along with Onnuri gift vouchers.
