Hospital information available at a glance on Naver Maps and Kakao Map
The National Health Insurance Service announced Monday that it will make information on hospitals offering integrated nursing care services available through Naver Maps and Kakao Map.
The integrated nursing care service system allows nurses, nursing assistants and care support staff to tend to patients around the clock without requiring a family guardian or private caregiver. It was introduced to ease the caregiving burden on patients and their families while providing inpatient services in a safer medical environment.
Users can search for nearby hospitals offering the service by entering keywords such as "integrated nursing care service" or "nursing care" on Naver Maps or Kakao Map. The apps will return a list of participating hospitals based on the user's location.
Naver Maps will also display detailed service information — including the number of operating beds — within each hospital's profile, giving patients and guardians additional reference when choosing a facility.
Meanwhile, patients admitted to an integrated nursing care ward can save 83.9 percent in costs compared with hiring a private caregiver in a general ward. As of 2026, the service is available at 837 hospitals nationwide, covering 91,157 beds.
