Taereung International Skating Rink, home to the country's only indoor 400-meter regulation speed skating track, opened Monday.

The Korean Sport & Olympic Committee said it resumed operations at the rink Monday, opening the facility for both national team training and public use.

The rink will operate daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is 4,000 won for adults, 3,500 won for teenagers and 3,000 won for children, with skate rentals available at an additional charge. Tickets can be purchased at self-service kiosks on site, and parking is free.

Ahead of the opening, changing rooms and audio equipment were refurbished. The Korea Sports Museum on the second floor will operate on weekdays, and a special exhibition on the history of Korean winter sports will open in the first-floor lobby starting Oct. 23.

"We will provide athletes with a stable training environment and give the public a chance to experience winter sports more closely," Korean Sport & Olympic Committee President Yoo Seung-min said.
