Over 800 employees take part
Cumulative steps exceed 23 million; stair-climbing tops 100,000 meters
Program aims to build horizontal communication, collaboration and mutual trust
Hankook & Company Group announced Monday that it has wrapped up season 2 of "Go Further, Go Higher Together," a teamwork program designed to foster communication and collaboration among employees.
The program ran from Sept. 16 to Friday as part of the company-wide organizational culture campaign "Better Together," which the group launched last year with a focus on building connections and rapport among employees.
More than 800 employees across the group took part in teams, using the mobile app Runday to log walking and stair-climbing activity. Individual records were pooled toward shared group targets of 10 million cumulative steps and 100,000 meters of stair climbing.
Participants collectively walked about 23 million steps — more than double the walking goal — and climbed approximately 101,000 meters of stairs, clearing that target as well.
This year, the program added an "unexpected encounters" element to encourage cross-team interaction. Employees who joined another team's activity during a workout and posted a verification entry earned bonus points, creating natural opportunities to connect with colleagues outside their own teams.
The group plans to recognize top-performing teams and hold a special event for the winning team.
Meanwhile, Hankook & Company Group continues to pursue a range of corporate social responsibility initiatives, including a recruitment drive open through Oct. 21 for social welfare facilities nationwide to participate in its "2026 Vehicle Sharing" project, which provides vehicles for people with mobility challenges.
