A video of a bride, groom and wedding guests chanting political slogans — including calls for the return of former President Yoon Suk Yeol — has gone viral online.

The video was shared Friday on the social media platform Threads under the title "A One-of-a-Kind Wedding in the World" and shows a ceremony held at a wedding hall in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province.

The footage captures the couple and their guests joining together in political chants.

The groom took the microphone and led the crowd in a chant set to a melody: "Lee Jae Myung is the insurrectionist — stand trial." The bride, bouquet in hand, nodded along and joined in. Guests clapped and echoed the chant in response.

A group of friends of the couple marched down the aisle beating drums and playing percussion.

Large flags of the kind commonly seen at political rallies filled the guest seating area. Banners bearing the words "Lee Jae Myung," "criminal" and "stand trial" were displayed throughout the hall. Guests held up red towels printed with "Yoon Again."

As the couple made their exit, guests chanted "Yoon Again shall be victorious." The groom marched alongside the bride with his fist raised high.

The two met at a conservative-leaning rally. The groom leads a pro-Yoon youth organization.

As the video spread across online communities, many users reacted critically. "It's hard to tell whether this is a wedding or a political rally," one commenter wrote. Others said it was "a shame that political slogans took center stage at a wedding where the bride and groom should be the focus," and questioned whether "even the most important moments in life have to be filled with political chants."

Others, however, were supportive. "A wedding is an event that should be held however the couple wants — what's the problem?" some users wrote, while others called it "a wedding that shares the beliefs of two people" and said the venue where the couple first met made the ceremony "understandable."
