Formal launch set for December, with plans to deepen services and expand partnerships
Initiative aims to make AI tangible for the public and broaden open ecosystem
Seventeen companies in the KT Corp consortium gathered Monday to discuss the future direction of "AI for All," a joint initiative targeting everyday users.
With the formal launch of the AI for All service set for December, the consortium is accelerating efforts to develop AI that resonates with the general public and to expand an open ecosystem around the platform.
KT Corp said it held the "AI for All Connect Summit 2026" at its Gwanghwamun Building West office in Jongno-gu, Seoul, bringing together KT Corp Chief Executive Park Yun-young and the chief executives and senior executives of the consortium's member companies.
Participants included KT Corp alongside Daum, Upstage, Saltlux, EBS, BC Card, Zigbang, Connectwave, Musinsa, ActionPower, Mathpresso, DeepSearch, Rebellions, Lablup, Vessel AI, Motif Technologies and NC AI.
The companies shared updates on service preparations and plans for the formal launch, and discussed strategies for further development and expanded cooperation within the consortium.
AI for All is designed to connect a range of domestically developed AI models with everyday lifestyle services, delivering a seamless AI experience to users. The consortium plans to link the AI technologies and services of each member company to offer an integrated AI experience across search, education, finance, content and real estate.
In the early phase of the service, the consortium said it will focus on accurately identifying users' intent across a wide range of queries and presenting everyday information in an accessible way. Users will be able to ask about weather, lifestyle information, stocks, public figures and content in natural language.
The summit also covered the development roadmap and service enhancement strategy following the December launch. The consortium plans to raise the service's competitiveness through collaboration among member companies while broadening ties with partners across various sectors, giving users access to a richer AI experience.
Discussions also addressed expanding the AI ecosystem. The consortium agreed to strengthen existing partnerships while widening its open collaboration framework to allow companies and services from diverse fields to join.
KT Corp will support service integration among member companies through a stable and scalable platform and infrastructure. The participating companies committed to building a virtuous cycle in which AI models, platforms, data and services grow together around AI for All.
"This was an opportunity for leading South Korean companies representing the core fields of AI to come together and discuss the successful execution and future direction of AI for All," Park said. "We will communicate and collaborate more closely with our member companies to deliver a seamless AI experience in daily life for the public, and contribute to the continued growth of South Korea's AI ecosystem."
