BTS drew more than 151,500 fans over three nights at Estadio San Marcos in Lima, Peru, as part of its world tour "Arirang," agency Big Hit Music said Sunday. The shows took place Wednesday and Friday through Saturday (local time).

It was the group's first performance in Peru. The members told the crowd, "Your energy is truly incredible," adding, "We wonder why it took us so long to come to Peru."

Jimin, whose birthday falls on Tuesday, drew cheers when he said, "I will never forget that you have been loving us so deeply from the other side of the world."

Peru's Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism projected that the concerts would bring more than 50,000 visitors to Lima and generate around 25.1 billion won ($18.7 million) in tourism-related economic activity.

BTS will perform in Santiago, Chile, on Wednesday and Friday through Saturday, before continuing its South American tour with stops in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and São Paulo, Brazil.
