Daegu Health College successfully hosted the 2026 School-Up Career-Up Job Fair, a two-day event combining hands-on major exploration with employment support that drew more than 400 students.

The fair ran Wednesday and Thursday in the lobby of the Yeonma Hall Library Building, jointly organized by the School Support Center and the Startup Growth Support Center, the college said Saturday.

The event was part of a regional talent development initiative aimed at helping students explore career paths and strengthen their employment and entrepreneurship readiness.

On the first day, 10 "Open Medical Labs" showcased equipment and devices used in clinical settings. Students tried out medical devices from a range of disciplines and gained a hands-on understanding of job functions and related technology across different fields.

On the second day, 12 companies in the healthcare sector participated in a corporate matching zone, sharing recruitment information and explaining on-the-job duties. Students held one-on-one consultations with company representatives to explore roles of interest and map out their job-search strategies.

Daegu Health College operates a school-based system centered on its Healthcare School, Health Tech School and Rehabilitation Treatment School, offering interdisciplinary education and career planning support across majors.

Lee Jeon-hyeong, the college's academic affairs director and a professor in the physical therapy department, said the fair gave students a firsthand experience of the school system and a chance to explore career possibilities beyond their own majors. "We will expand school-specific education and career support programs so students can freely explore and combine knowledge from multiple majors and fields," he said.
