The Suncheon branch of Korea Land and Geospatial Informatics Corp. (LX) has donated 3.2 million won ($2,390) to the Suncheon City Talent Development Scholarship Foundation to support local education.

The contribution carried added significance because employees pooled their own money voluntarily to support the community and encourage the next generation of Suncheon residents.

The Suncheon branch has also consistently carried out a range of corporate social responsibility activities, including annual donation drives for underprivileged neighbors, campaigns to promote a culture of integrity and local environmental cleanup efforts.

Earlier, the LX South Jeolla Province-Gwangju regional headquarters donated 1 million won to the social welfare division of Suncheon City Hall in September, continuing a streak of charitable giving by the public corporation.

"Going forward, we will continue to fulfill our social responsibilities not only through our core work as a land information agency, but also through diverse community service activities aimed at nurturing local talent and supporting the underprivileged," Suncheon Branch Manager Ryu Kyung-sik said.
