Hybe's flagship music festival, Weverse Con Festival, is set to reach India's 1.4 billion people for the first time.
Hybe announced Thursday that Weverse Con Festival will be held in New Delhi, India, on March 27 and 28 next year — the first time the festival has expanded to an overseas venue since its launch in 2023.
Weverse Con Festival is Hybe's signature music event, built around breaking down barriers between genres and generations while bringing together fans from around the world. The lineup started with 20 acts in its debut year and has since grown to include emerging artists, superstars, J-pop acts and indie bands. This year, 30 acts appeared on the festival roster.
Dubbed "Weverse Con Festival India," the inaugural overseas edition is designed as a space where K-pop and Indian local music intersect and where the fandom cultures of the two countries can engage organically. Top-tier K-pop artists with global profiles and leading figures from India's music scene will share the stage.
Beyond performances, the festival will also offer a range of fan experience programs designed to let attendees immerse themselves in the culture firsthand, rather than simply watching from the audience.
The New Delhi event marks the opening salvo in Hybe's push to expand the global footprint of its performance and festival intellectual property. The local network built by Hybe India — which launched as a subsidiary last year and has since held large-scale auditions across 23 cities throughout the country, along with a series of offline exchange events — provided a strong foundation for the festival.
"Weverse Con Festival India will be a stage where Hybe's 'multi-home, multi-genre' strategy — aimed at fostering fusion and synergy between local culture and K-pop — comes to life, and a festival dedicated to the Indian fans who have supported K-pop and its artists," a Hybe official said.
