Morning lows to dip below seasonal norms at 3–14 C
Afternoon highs of 21–25 C expected near seasonal averages
Cold air continuing to flow in from the north will keep Wednesday morning temperatures below seasonal norms.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, morning lows across the country on Wednesday are forecast at 3 to 14 degrees Celsius. Temperatures in the inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon Province will drop to 5 degrees or below, while other inland regions are expected to hover around 10 degrees. Typical morning temperatures for this time of year range from 8 to 16 degrees.
Afternoon highs are forecast at 21 to 25 degrees, in line with the seasonal average of 21 to 24 degrees.
With morning temperatures falling below seasonal norms and afternoon readings climbing back up under sunny skies, the daily temperature swing is expected to reach around 15 degrees Celsius.
Forecast lows and highs for major cities are: Seoul and Daejeon, 10 and 24 degrees; Incheon, 12 and 23 degrees; Gwangju, 11 and 25 degrees; Daegu, 11 and 23 degrees; Ulsan, 12 and 24 degrees; and Busan, 14 and 25 degrees.
Dense fog reducing visibility to below 200 meters is expected in the inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon Province from the early hours through Wednesday morning. Fog with visibility below 1 kilometer is forecast for inland Gyeonggi Province, North Chungcheong Province, eastern North Jeolla Province, inland North Gyeongsang Province and western inland South Gyeongsang Province.
Strong winds of 30 to 55 kilometers per hour (8 to 15 meters per second) and waves of 1.5 to 3.5 meters are expected in the outer waters south of Jeju and the outer eastern waters of the South Sea through Wednesday afternoon. Vessels navigating or fishing in those areas are advised to exercise caution.
