Hite Jinro and Hite Jinro Holdings held a vehicle donation ceremony with players competing in the 26th Hite Jinro Championship at Blue Heron Golf Club in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province, on Sunday. Hite Jinro CEO Jang In-seop and Lee Dae-ho, director of the Vocational Talent Development Center, were among those in attendance.

This year, the companies delivered one Carnival minivan and plan to provide 10 Ray minicars by the end of this month. Including the 11 vehicles donated this year, the cumulative total over 12 years stands at 102.

The charitable initiative began in 2008 as a sponsorship program for sick children and children from low-income families, with Hite Jinro and championship participants joining forces. Since 2015, it has continued as a vehicle support project aimed at improving mobility for underserved communities.

Hite Jinro ran an open call for social welfare organizations last May, selecting 11 recipients after reviewing written applications and video materials. All selected organizations will receive their vehicles by the end of October.

"It is meaningful that the Hite Jinro Championship continues to bring warm change to local communities alongside the players' outstanding performances," Jang said. "I am grateful to the participating players for joining us in this spirit of giving, and we will consistently carry on social contribution activities that provide real, practical support to those in need."
