Lee Woo-seok upheld South Korea's archery pride Saturday, claiming his second gold medal of the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
Lee, 29, of Kolon Xtenbois defeated Japan's Nakanishi Junya 6-2 (29-26, 27-27, 29-29, 29-27) in the recurve men's individual final at the Multipurpose Plaza of Okazaki Central General Park in Aichi Prefecture, Japan.
Lee had already won gold in the men's team event on Friday alongside Kim Woo-jin, 34, of Cheongju City Hall, and Kim Je-deok, 22, of Yecheon-gun Office, making him a double gold medalist at these Games.
A gold medalist in the men's team event and the mixed team event at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games, and in the men's team event at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Lee claimed his first individual gold medal at a major international multi-sport competition.
