Nowon-gu District Mayor Seo Jun-o attended the opening ceremony of an indoor screen park golf course at Gongneung General Social Welfare Center on Thursday morning, celebrating the launch of the new facility and encouraging those involved in its development.
The event drew about 150 attendees, including National Assembly lawmakers, district council members and local residents, to mark the opening of the new indoor screen park golf course — designed to let residents enjoy recreational sports and leisure activities regardless of weather or season.
The ceremony opened with welcoming remarks and introductions of guests, followed by a progress report, the presentation of appreciation plaques to key contributors, a ribbon-cutting and a group photo. District Mayor Seo and attendees then moved to the below-ground floor to tour the facility and take part in a stroke session.
"I hope this newly opened screen park golf course will become a vibrant space where seniors and residents can look after their health in daily life and connect with their neighbors," Seo said. "We will continue to expand lifestyle-oriented welfare and leisure facilities that residents can access close to home."
