"My bra would ride up every time I raised my arms"

Comedian Kim Ji-sun, 54, known as the "queen of fertility," has drawn attention after revealing why she got breast augmentation surgery in her 40s.

A video titled "Is it OK to get plastic surgery as you get older?" was posted Wednesday on the YouTube channel "Kim Ji-sun Kim Hyo-jin's Geulaejyeo," featuring singer Kim Hye-yeon alongside hosts Kim Ji-sun and Kim Hyo-jin in a candid conversation about cosmetic procedures.

"Everyone has something they're self-conscious about," Kim Ji-sun said. "Having given birth to four children, I had my own insecurities."

When Kim Hyo-jin pressed her to be more specific, Kim Ji-sun said she had served as a breastfeeding ambassador. "From my first child to my youngest, I breastfed them all — I was always pumping," she said.

Kim Hyo-jin quipped that she was the "queen of exclusive breastfeeding," to which Kim Ji-sun replied, "The milk really overflowed. My entire freezer wasn't filled with bone broth — it was all my breast milk."

She then drew laughs with a self-deprecating joke, saying she had heard of a car accident where a woman's chest was so flat that a bystander thought her neck had snapped and turned her head around. "I was afraid that might happen to me, so I had the surgery," she said.

Kim Ji-sun said her husband had initially been opposed, telling her, "You've had four kids and you're over 40 — why bother?" But once he arrived at the clinic, she said, he requested she go bigger. "His satisfaction ended up being higher than mine," she said, sending Kim Hye-yeon into fits of laughter.

Kim Ji-sun also cited a practical reason. "Wearing clothes was so uncomfortable. Every time I raised my arms, my bra would ride up and I couldn't lift them all the way," she said. "I kept pulling it back down, and eventually I just couldn't stand it anymore."

Meanwhile, Kim Ji-sun is a graduate of KBS's "Gag Concert" who married a non-celebrity of the same age and has three sons and one daughter.
