Hanjin announced Thursday that amid a sharp surge in delivery volumes during this year's Chuseok holiday season, customers from across the country sent in letters of appreciation for drivers who communicated proactively and provided attentive service.

Seo Jeong-hong, a driver at the Incheon Gyeyang branch, received a thank-you letter from a customer who had been waiting late at night for a beef gift set. Seo provided real-time updates on the delivery's location and safely handed over the package. "Even though you were busy, you responded so kindly — it put my mind at ease," the customer wrote.

Hwang Si-heon, a driver at the Seoul Gwanak Seonghyeon branch, won over a customer by delivering nine large, heavy boxes that had piled up all at once after the customer moved to a new home. Despite the peak-season workload, Hwang carried the heavy items all the way inside the apartment out of concern that the customer would struggle with the weight. "You moved everything inside without showing a hint of fatigue, and thanks to you I was able to start life in my new home on a happy note," the customer said.

Choe Un, a driver at the Jeonju Samcheon branch, drew praise for his warm support of a small-business customer who ships products through an online shopping mall. The first-time online seller had been anxious about meeting a shipping deadline when Choe turned his vehicle around and came back to collect the package. "Every single order matters when you're just starting out, and your constant smile, understanding and encouragement have been a great source of strength," the customer wrote.

Hanjin said it plans to continue identifying and sharing outstanding service cases to boost drivers' sense of pride and foster a field-centered service culture.

"During holiday peak seasons, the workload on our drivers grows considerably, but we are deeply grateful to each and every one of them for listening carefully to customers and giving their best," a Hanjin official said. "We will continue to actively seek out exemplary cases from the field, recognize our drivers' hard work, and build a delivery service that customers can truly feel the difference in."

Meanwhile, President and CEO Noh Sam-seok and President Cho Hyun-min visited the East Seoul Hub Terminal on Sept. 15 to inspect operations during the Chuseok peak period and encourage frontline workers, as part of the company's hands-on management approach.
