Lotte Himart launched a new service Thursday that covers repair costs for 34 categories of home appliances under a single subscription. The service, called "Gajeon Suuri All Care," allows customers to manage most of the appliances in their home with one enrollment.

Lotte Himart said it plans to use the new service and broader care offerings to drive store visits and repeat purchases, positioning itself as a company that manages customers' overall lifestyle rather than simply selling products.

The service has been significantly expanded to cover secondhand appliances already in use, and customers can now have appliances from multiple brands managed under a single plan. The subscription fee is 50,000 won ($37) for two years.

The 34 covered product categories include eight major appliances — refrigerators, kimchi refrigerators, air conditioners, televisions, washing machines, dryers, washer-dryers and clothing care systems — along with 21 lifestyle and kitchen appliances such as vacuum cleaners, air purifiers, massage chairs, bidets, electric ranges, dishwashers, water purifiers, coffee machines and air fryers, and five IT devices including laptops, desktop computers, all-in-one PCs, tablet PCs and monitors.

Coverage begins 60 days after enrollment and provides unlimited repair support up to 1 million won per year. Reimbursements are based on actual costs incurred, including parts and labor. Customers pay a 5,000-won co-pay per repair visit, while appliances more than 10 years old from the date of manufacture carry a 50,000-won co-pay.

"We plan to continue expanding the breadth and depth of our care services so that customers can use their appliances with confidence for as long as possible," said Choi Jun-seok, head of Lotte Himart's lifetime care services division.
