Muju Deogyusan Resort, operated by Booyoung Group, is launching a second round of discounted ski season pass sales ahead of the upcoming winter season.

According to industry sources Monday, the resort will hold its second special season pass sale from Thursday through Oct. 24.

The resort operates ski and snowboard-dedicated slopes so families can enjoy the mountain with peace of mind. During the second sale period, customers can choose from four season pass options: the Muju Integrated Pass I, the Muju Integrated Pass II, the Muju O2 Integrated Pass I and the Muju O2 Integrated Pass II. The Integrated Pass I offers unlimited ski gondola access at all hours, while the Integrated Pass II is designed for budget-conscious skiers who primarily visit on weekdays.

The full range of discounts available during the first sale will continue through the second. These include family discounts, tenure-based discounts, and special rates for Muju-gun residents, university students, customers who purchased a season pass from another resort last year, and senior citizens. Special discounts are also available for active-duty military personnel, police officers, firefighters and their families, as well as veterans and those recognized for distinguished military service.

A family discount applies when three or more season passes are purchased together, and customers who buy one adult season pass receive one complimentary preschool-age child season pass, with a separate issuance fee. Season pass holders also receive discount benefits covering Tyrol, family and national hotel room rates, dining at resort-operated restaurants, access to the Saint Hue sauna, season locker rentals, ski and snowboard equipment rentals, and vouchers for the snow sled run, the sightseeing gondola and other resort facilities.

Regular pricing takes effect from Oct. 27.

A resort official said the second sale was arranged for customers who missed the first round. "We are grateful for the strong support during the first special sale period," the official said. "For the 2026/27 winter season in particular, we plan to reopen the Andante slope for advanced skiers for the first time in 19 years and operate a total of 23 slopes, including the upper section of Raiders, which boasts the steepest gradient in the country."

Muju Deogyusan Resort is the largest ski resort in South Korea, featuring 34 slopes of varying difficulty, including the 6.1-kilometer Silk Road slope — the longest in the country — which begins at Seolcheonbong peak at 1,520 meters above sea level, as well as the Raiders slope with a maximum gradient of 76 percent.

Meanwhile, Booyoung Group has donated a cumulative total of more than 1.22 trillion won ($902 million) through various social contribution activities, including history and veterans' commemoration initiatives and scholarship programs. In recognition, the group received the top residential welfare service award at The Herald Business's "Home I Want to Live In 2026" event held this month.
