Company aims to deliver seamless care experience for clinicians and patients
Vatech, a dental imaging equipment company, plans to expand its customer value proposition by integrating AI and software into its dental CT products. The company, which has grown into the world's No. 1 maker of dental CT systems, aims to set a new standard in dental care by combining its manufacturing capabilities with software.
Marking the 20th anniversary of its Kosdaq listing, Vatech on Wednesday unveiled a medium- to long-term strategy called "Pilsa's Leap 2029" outlining the initiative.
The core of the strategy is expanding customer value by adding software to existing hardware. For clinicians, the company aims to deliver timely information aligned with the flow of patient care, while patients would benefit from a seamless experience spanning prevention, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care.
Research and development will focus on solving real-world problems in clinical settings. Vatech said it plans to reduce imaging constraints caused by patient movement or physical conditions, and to make broader use of clinical information captured in images for diagnostic purposes. The company intends to integrate imaging equipment, AI and software under a unified development strategy so that the technology can be applied directly in clinical practice.
"Dental software connects the care workflow from diagnosis through treatment planning, patient consultation and report writing by integrating images, patient information and analysis results," the company said. "The software organizes information in advance and flags items that require review, supporting clinicians in their decision-making."
"Becoming the world's No. 1 in dental CT in just over 20 years was made possible by investing in talent and embracing challenges without fear," said Vatech Chief Executive Hwang Gyu-ho. "We will continue to grow by offering products and services that customers trust and choose."
