A young boy was reportedly seen pulling down his pants and urinating while waiting in a ride queue at Lotte World, an amusement park in central Seoul.

According to the online community Bobaedream, photos showing a boy urinating while standing in line at Lotte World Adventure in Jamsil, Songpa-gu, were posted Tuesday and have since sparked debate.

The person who uploaded the post wrote that a boy who appeared to be speaking Chinese was seen pulling down his pants and urinating in the queue at around 4 p.m. Sunday.

"People waiting nearby were caught off guard and shocked by the unexpected situation," the poster added, suggesting that in such cases, a child should simply tell those behind them in line that they need to use the restroom and then rejoin the queue.

The photos show a short-haired boy in a long-sleeved top with both hands near his lower body. Other visitors can be seen queuing in front of and behind him.

The images do not make it possible to confirm the child's nationality or whether inappropriate behavior actually occurred.

Commenters reacted with a range of opinions. Some criticized the parents — "What are the parents doing by not stepping in?" and "What are they teaching their child?" — while one called the behavior "uncivilized." Others urged restraint: "The child is still young. Instead of photographing and posting it online, why not just go over and say something?"
