Nongshim announced Wednesday it will release Neogurling, a new snack combining its popular Neoguri ramyun and Yanparring onion ring snack.
Set to launch Oct. 12, Neogurling pairs the salty, savory flavor of Yanparring with the spicy seafood taste of Neoguri. The product was inspired by a "modisumer" recipe — consumer-created food combinations — that gained traction on SNS.
Videos of people shaking snacks with various ramyun seasoning packets — such as Yanparring with Neoguri powder or Postic with Shin Ramyun powder — have recently gone viral on SNS.
"We drew inspiration from a recipe that consumers created and shared, and packed the appeal of both Yanparring and Neoguri into a single product," a Nongshim official said. "We hope people enjoy the unique flavor and fun that comes from bringing two familiar products together."
