The North Gyeongsang Province Cultural Tourism Corporation announced Wednesday that it will participate in the 9th Gyeongju World Tea Culture Festival, set to be held Saturday at Bomun Lake Plaza in Gyeongju, to promote the diverse attractions of North Gyeongsang Province tourism.

Now in its ninth year, the Gyeongju World Tea Culture Festival brings together tea cultures from Korea, China, Japan and beyond under one roof. Drawing on the millennium-old city's rich history and heritage, the event features a range of programs including global tea tastings and tea etiquette workshops.

Visitors can sample a wide variety of teas at dedicated tasting areas and take part in hands-on traditional tea culture programs. The festival pairs tea culture with the autumn scenery of Bomun Lake, offering residents and tourists a distinctive cultural experience.

The corporation will operate a promotional booth at the festival, introducing visitors to its North Gyeongsang tourism content, including the "Gyeongbuk Travel MVTI" and "Gyeongbuk Gourmet Travel METI" programs.

"We will continue to work with local festivals and cultural events to showcase the tourism appeal of North Gyeongsang Province and expand opportunities for visitors to discover the region anew," said Kim Nam-il, president of the North Gyeongsang Province Cultural Tourism Corporation.
