Cafe Amoze, Omto Tomato among brands adopting the platform; AI analyzes sales and operations data
After a proof-of-concept trial, a formal contract is signed — stores logged an average of 6.16 AI queries per day
HR solution Peoplegenie also rolled out simultaneously to support brand-level strategy
Food-tech company ControlM announced Wednesday that it has signed a formal contract with restaurant group Amoze Food to supply its AI store-operations solution, Restogenie, to four of the company's major food and beverage brands.
The brands receiving the solution are Cafe Amoze, Omto Tomato, Millions and City Marche — flagship F&B labels under the Amoze Food umbrella. The two companies signed an MOU earlier this year, ran a proof-of-concept trial at select stores, and then concluded the formal agreement.
Restogenie uses AI to analyze store sales figures, closed-circuit television footage and other operational data, helping franchise headquarters and individual franchisees make better-informed decisions. Headquarters can compare store-by-store earnings and profitability in real time, identify weak points, and apply the insights to staffing and promotional planning.
Alongside Restogenie, the companies are also introducing Peoplegenie, an attendance and human-resources management solution. The platform automatically calculates employee wages and allowances, reducing the manual workload for administrators and improving overall store efficiency.
During the trial period, store-level staff used AI queries to track sales trends by menu item and monitor customer demographics, logging an average of 6.16 AI chat sessions per store per day. Amoze Food plans to use the accumulated quantitative data — including customer gender and age breakdowns — to develop tailored business strategies for each brand.
Amoze Food, which marks its 30th anniversary this year, is a comprehensive restaurant operator that introduced the European-style family restaurant Marche to South Korea in 1996. The company said the adoption of Restogenie is part of a broader shift toward data-driven operations.
"Quickly incorporating field needs into our product is our competitive edge," said Won Jong-gwan, chief executive of ControlM. "Through this collaboration with Amoze Food, we will solve real operational challenges and establish ourselves as a trusted AI solution on the ground."
ControlM is an AI platform company that integrates and analyzes data scattered across stores — covering sales, costs and customers — to support franchise headquarters and on-site operations in areas including inventory management, marketing and human resources. Building on operational know-how accumulated in the restaurant industry, the company has expanded into a range of franchise sectors, adding clients such as Shabu All Day and A-bout Coffee. Going forward, ControlM plans to advance the platform into an integrated system in which AI performs deep learning on correlations among store, product and customer data to recommend customized operating strategies for each location.
