Cheongsong-gun in North Gyeongsang Province announced Wednesday that the Cheongsong Senior Club received an excellence award at the Ministry of Health and Welfare's 2026 Senior Employment and Social Activity Support Project Evaluation.

The club was recognized for operating 25 customized senior employment programs across multiple categories — including a senior public-service unit covering elderly care and neighborhood facility assistance, a senior skills unit offering administrative support, smartphone education and grandparent childcare services, and a community business unit — providing jobs to a total of 4,684 elderly residents.

"This award is thanks to the continued attention and support of Cheongsong-gun," club Director Hwang Jin-ho said. "We will continue to do our best so that seniors can enjoy a vibrant and healthy retirement."

Cheongsong-gun County Chief Yun Gyeong-hui said the county would "continue to identify locally tailored employment opportunities and actively support seniors in living happy and stable lives in retirement."
