Pop artist and broadcaster Nancy Lang is facing criticism for continuing to promote her solo exhibition without any period of public contrition following her drunk-driving arrest. She has also parted ways with her agency in the wake of the incident.

Nancy Lang recently completed the termination of her exclusive contract with Megaton Entertainment, according to a Tuesday report by Edaily. The two sides began discussing the split after she was caught driving under the influence, and all related paperwork has since been finalized. The drunk-driving incident broke down the trust between them, ultimately leading to the contract's termination.

On Tuesday, Nancy Lang posted content on her SNS promoting her solo exhibition.

The exhibition, titled "PLAY: A New Language," is set to close Wednesday.

The posts have drawn criticism, with many saying she has shown no sign of stepping back from public activity so soon after being caught drunk driving.

Nancy Lang was pulled over by police at around 3:45 a.m. on Sept. 8 on a road in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, while driving under the influence. Her blood alcohol level exceeded 0.08 percent, the threshold for license revocation.

After the arrest became public, Nancy Lang apologized, saying she had drunk "a glass or two of champagne" at a friend's birthday gathering and decided to drive because her home was nearby, calling it "a careless decision." She did, however, push back against descriptions of her as "heavily intoxicated," saying the characterization did not reflect what actually happened and asking that the facts be verified accurately.
