Actor Jung Ka-eun had an embarrassing moment during a mukbang shoot at a traditional market when she walked out of a stall without paying.

A video posted Monday to her YouTube channel "Rollercoaster Sister Ka-eun" showed Jung visiting Guri Market to sample local food.

"I came to the traditional market today," she said in the video. "Aren't a lot of traditional markets disappearing these days?"

She said she wanted to spread the word about traditional markets — how good they are, how much delicious food they offer, and how much shoppers can buy at low prices.

Jung also surprised the crew with a candid admission: "I love eating. I once gained 10 kilograms just from eating hotteok."

She wandered through the market sampling various foods, and while eating tteokbokki she remarked, "I wish my stomach could double in size when I come to the market."

After finishing her meal, an unexpected situation unfolded. The owner of the tteokbokki stall came rushing after Jung as she walked away. "I'm sorry, but you haven't paid," the owner told her.

Realizing her mistake, Jung covered her mouth in embarrassment. "Oh, I'm so sorry — I almost did a dine-and-dash," she said, before quickly settling the bill.

She later explained what had gone through her mind, drawing laughs: "I thought she was coming out to ask for a photo. But then she suddenly said, 'You left without paying.'"

After paying, Jung wrapped up her market outing by taking a photo with the tteokbokki stall owner who had chased her down.

Meanwhile, Jung married a non-celebrity businessman in 2016 but divorced in 2018. She has spoken publicly about financial hardship after her ex-husband stopped paying living and child support. She currently connects with fans through YouTube.
