Actor Han Ga-in, who runs the YouTube channel "Jayubuyin Han Ga-in" with more than 503,000 subscribers, apologized Monday for introducing a product based solely on her personal experience, saying she had not been careful enough.

Han addressed the matter through a post on her YouTube channel's community page, saying the video in question was "self-purchased content" in which she introduced a product she had bought and used herself, with no compensation or sponsorship involved. "As I disclosed in advance, there was absolutely no deception regarding whether it was an advertisement," she said.

She added that her channel's policy is to clearly label content as "paid advertisement included" whenever a paid promotion is involved, so viewers can immediately recognize it as such. "However, regardless of whether something is an advertisement, I was not careful enough in introducing a health-related product based solely on my personal experience," she said.

Han said the situation had taught her how cautious one must be when conveying information based on subjective impressions without rigorous verification. "I am truly sorry for causing confusion and concern through my lack of careful judgment," she said.

She went on to say that going forward, she would strictly verify objective facts before sharing information about any product, even one she had purchased and used herself. "I will listen closely to my viewers' valuable feedback and create content with even greater care," she added.

Han has appeared in lead or prominent roles in the films "Once Upon a Time in High School" and "Architecture 101," as well as numerous well-known drama series. She married actor Yeon Jung-hun in 2005.
