Trinity Airways is launching a discount campaign on its Incheon-Kumamoto route, targeting travelers heading to Japan this fall and over the year-end holiday season.

The airline announced Tuesday that it has teamed up with Kumamoto Airport to run a joint promotion on the route.

The promotion runs from Monday through Oct. 11, with discounted tickets valid for travel from Oct. 1 through Dec. 31.

Customers who apply a promotional discount code can purchase tickets at up to 15 percent off. Those who spend 200,000 won ($148) or more on a round-trip ticket will also receive an additional 20,000 won discount coupon.

A limited number of first-come, first-served special fares will also be available. However, discount eligibility and the sales period may vary depending on seat and fare availability.

The flight from Incheon to Kumamoto takes about one hour and 30 minutes. Kumamoto, located in the center of Japan's Kyushu region, is known among Korean travelers for Mount Aso and its hot springs.

"We put together this promotion with Kumamoto Airport to offer generous benefits to customers planning a trip to Kumamoto," a Trinity Airways official said. "We will continue to strengthen cooperation with local airports and related organizations to roll out a variety of promotions that highlight the character of each destination."

Meanwhile, Trinity Airways rebranded from its former name, T'way Air, on Sept. 10 and began operating under the new name. Its existing airline code "TW" and flight numbers remain unchanged, while the aircraft livery and service branding are being transitioned to the new brand in stages.
