Keimyung University's Anchor Promotion Team held the "2026 Academic Year First Semester Capstone Design Exhibition" at Keimyung University Station on Daegu Metro Line 2 from Sept. 9 to 10, presenting student projects developed in collaboration with businesses and the local community to the public.

Capstone design is an education program in which students apply their major knowledge to define problems and then plan, design and build solutions.

A total of 205 teams participated in the first semester of the 2026 academic year — 164 from engineering, 16 from natural sciences and 25 from arts and physical education.

The exhibition featured 44 outstanding projects selected through a competition held in June. Students displayed prototypes and research results, showcasing work that combined specialized knowledge with creative design.

The choice of Keimyung University Station as the venue also drew notice.

By setting up exhibition space inside a subway station used by an average of about 12,000 passengers a day, the university allowed residents to encounter student work as part of their daily commute.

The Anchor Promotion Team also moved to advance generative AI-based education reform.

From Sept. 17 to 18, the team ran a "2026 Academic Year Generative AI Platform Information and Experience Booth" at the plaza in front of Bauer Hall and in the Uchon Room, drawing about 1,400 students and faculty over the two days.

Lee Deok-woo, head of Keimyung University's Anchor Promotion Team, said the university is "building a virtuous cycle in which students' ideas spread into the community and AI-based education reform is applied on the ground." He added that the team would "continue to expand industry-linked education and generative AI instruction to nurture talent ready for the future."
