South Korean mixed martial arts organization TFC will broadcast its upcoming event live on sports channel IB Sports for the first time in a decade.
TFC will hold "TFC 24: Break Through" on Oct. 23 at the Event Hall on the third floor of the Textile Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. According to the organization, the first portion of the event will begin at 1 p.m. and air as a recorded broadcast, while the second portion, starting at 6 p.m., will be streamed live on IB Sports and the official "TFC Korea" YouTube channel.
TFC, then operating under its former name TOP FC, broadcast its events on IB Sports from its inaugural card in June 2013 through TOP FC 11 in May 2016. Starting with its 12th event, the organization moved its broadcast rights to SPOTV and rebranded under its current name, TFC.
The co-main event will feature a bout between Seol Young-ho and Japan's Yuta Watanabe. Also on the card are matchups between Kim Nam-sin and Lee Ho-jun, and between Seong Jun-hyeop and Jang Geon-ha.
TFC Co-CEO Jeon Chan-yeol said the organization is "returning home" and pledged to showcase "the true excitement of mixed martial arts." He added that he hopes the event will serve as "a new breakthrough for the domestic combat sports market."
