Hanssung Automobile, the official Mercedes-Benz partner in Korea, announced Monday that it served as an official sponsor of the WTA Korea Open Tennis Tournament 2026, held from Sept. 19 to Sept. 27, and successfully concluded a series of customer invitation programs it ran throughout the event.

The WTA Korea Open Tennis Tournament 2026 is a premier domestic stop on the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) world tour and was held at the Olympic Park Tennis Center in Seoul.

Through the sponsorship, Hanssung Automobile carried out a range of brand activities at the venue while organizing match-viewing and player-linked programs for members of Club Hanssung, its integrated loyalty membership, to offer a differentiated customer experience.

On Wednesday, the company held a special program exclusively for female Club Hanssung members — a one-point tennis class led by Park So-hyun, one of South Korea's top women's tennis players, at the Olympic Park Tennis Center in Seoul, where the tournament was under way.

Participants received direct coaching from Park and shared the court with her, getting an up-close look at her playing style and techniques.

Park, who also serves as a brand ambassador for Mercedes-Benz Korea, has climbed to No. 244 in the WTA singles world rankings and No. 181 in doubles, placing her among the country's elite players. She claimed the women's singles title at the 2026 ITF Goyang International Tennis Tournament, her 10th career singles title at international events.

During the tournament, Hanssung Automobile provided Club Hanssung members with about 300 match tickets covering rounds from the main draw through the final, and organized player autograph sessions to enrich the overall tennis experience.

In addition, the company operated a dedicated promotional booth at the venue and displayed Mercedes-Benz vehicles, giving visitors a firsthand look at the brand's values and Hanssung Automobile's differentiated customer experience.

The company had previously launched a Club Hanssung Golf Academy with KLPGA professional Park Jin-i, and has now added a tennis class with Park So-hyun, continuing to expand customer experiences centered on sports.

"It is meaningful to be able to share the appeal of tennis and the special experience that premium sports offer our customers through the WTA Korea Open, which brings together world-class players," said Kim Marco, chief executive of Hanssung Automobile. "Going forward, we will continue to introduce differentiated programs through Club Hanssung that encompass our customers' diverse interests and lifestyles, and further strengthen Hanssung Automobile's premium customer experience."

Meanwhile, Hanssung Automobile has been pursuing a range of marketing initiatives to improve customer convenience, including the recent launch of a vehicle maintenance package that allows customers to bundle and prepay for key consumable replacements such as filters and brake pads.
