Kim Seong-jung, formerly the first administrative vice governor of Gyeonggi Province, took office as the 24th administrative vice mayor of Incheon Metropolitan City under the ninth directly elected city administration.
"Drawing on my diverse experience and expertise in central government and local administration, I will take full responsibility as the first administrative vice mayor of the ninth elected administration and do my utmost," Kim said.
Kim entered public service through the 39th Higher Civil Service Examination and has since served as chief of staff to the minister of the Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs, senior administrative officer at the presidential personnel secretariat, director of organizational policy at the Ministry of Interior and Safety, and director of disaster response policy at the ministry.
He also served as administrative vice governor of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province and first administrative vice governor of Gyeonggi Province, building broad experience across local government administration.
